EFFICIENT POWER MANAGEMENT
The Smoke Detector DVR Camera boasts a rechargeable 4000 mAh battery, which powers the motion-activated camera for approximately three months—an impressive 90-day standby period.  This extended battery life is sufficient for most users who may be away for extended periods.
To recharge, slide the Smoke Detector from its ceiling mount and connect it to the main power.  An LED on the DVR indicates the charging status.
 
Note: The 3-month standby time represents the total duration the camera will actively monitor for movement without recording.  In practice, if no movement occurs for 2.5 months, sufficient power remains to record events.  The overall standby time gradually decreases based on how often the camera has been triggered to record.
 
MOTION-ACTIVATED RECORDING
By default, the Smoke Detector camera activates when it detects movement directly below.  The pinhole camera offers a 65-degree field of view, with each movement triggering one-minute recording intervals saved to a removable SD card.  If no further movement occurs after a minute, the camera returns to standby, awaiting the subsequent detection.  This cycle continues until the SD card reaches capacity.
 
While preliminary designed for motion detection recording, the camera can record continuously for three hours if uninterrupted recording is preferred.  Continuous recording saves in three-minute file segments to a removable SD card (not included).
A 32 GB card can store approximately 176 video files, while a 128 GB SD card can hold about 704 video files.
 
UNOBTRUSIVE AND DISCREET
Most homes, offices, and workshops typically have at least one Smoke Detector, allowing this product to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.  The Smoke Detector can be easily attached or detached from the supplied ceiling bracket, enabling the camera to observe and record activity directly below.
 
REMOTE CONTROL FOB
A small remote fob is included to switch the recording camera ON/OFF.  The fob is user-friendly, and a subtle LED on the DVR acknowledges button presses from the remote.
 
The package includes a pre-configured DVR (digital video recorder) and a small remote fob.  Only two buttons on the fob are used—the Power ON/OFF button and the motion-activation recording button.  The entire operation of the camera is straightforward and requires no technical expertise.
