Socket Lead Voice Activated Audio Recorder; with Time and Date Recording
A fully functional Socket Lead with four (4)x working sockets that also doubles up as a powerful voice activated recording device. Ready to work straight out of the box, the highly sensitive microphone is capable of picking up audio approx 25 feet from where deployed and provides excellent audio clarity when sound is detected. For convenience, no batteries or recharging are required due to the recording mechanism obtaining its power from the mains thus providing unlimited standby time.
A concealed Micro SD card storage system is built into the Socket Lead that can hold an incredible 544 hours (23 days) of voice activated audio (32 GB card max not supplied). The Socket Lead is ideal for gathering verbal evidence in almost all indoor room environments. Excellent build quality and performance assured.
The Socket Lead is pre-fitted with a two (2) GB SD card and ready to operate from the packaging. Simply plug the Socket Lead within the room environment that you wish to capture audio, whether that is an important meeting, interview, or to gather audio evidence for personal and business disputes etc.

TIME AND DATE STAMP
Each audio file that is recorded can be optionally stamped with the current time and date. Enabling this clever function will provide an accurate time line of events that took place for better scrutiny.
HOW VOICE ACTIVATION RECORDING WORKS
When the Socket Lead is plugged into a mains socket the internal chipset is designed to automatically start and stop recording when sound or voices are detected above a normal room environment threshold (normally -50 db). Each audio recording is stored to a Micro SD card in chronological order in .WAV format. Due to the design of the Socket Lead it is not possible to know the secret recording mechanism exists unless the Socket Lead is unscrewed and opened. This procedure must be done to obtain the SD card and play back the recorded audio on a Windows or Mac computer. No special software is required.
Voice activation eliminates the need to trawl through hours and hours of continuous recorded audio. When the SD card is full no further recordings can be made. For example; a 32 GB SD card has enough capacity to store 544 hours, thats 23 days of sound activated recordings or 9999 files - whichever is reached first.
Note: If the Socket Lead is used in a busy room environment for example: where a television or radio is playing in the background the microphone will detect the sound and start / stop recordings creating hundreds of irrelevant files until the SD card is full. For this reason we recommend this product is used in a less busy room environment so not to trigger the recording mechanism frequently.
To play back stored audio recordings simply unscrew the Socket Lead and remove the Micro SD card to play on a Windows or Mac computer. Audio recordings can also be stored to your computer for safe keeping, archived or emailed to other recipients.
The Socket Lead can withstand visual examination and operates as a normal home or office appliance. The internal engineering is first class and a fantastic way to incorporate a subtle voice recorder into a room environment.
