The Pocket Rocket USB Recorder has an internal fully rechargeable battery or can be plugged into a Windows or Mac computer to record until its 8 GB storage is full - that's a massive ten days (244 hours) of actual recording time! When connected to a computer while in record mode, the device is purposely not recognised by a computer.
VOICE-ACTIVATED AND CONTINUOUS RECORDING
Slide the record switch to the preferred record mode. Voice-activated recording is best suited when you are absent or when the environment is not engaged all of the time. Voice-activation mode will conserve battery power and storage space by recording only relevant conversations the microphone has detected and not record quiet environments. Continuous recording is best suited for 'on-demand' situations, for example, one-on-one or group meetings, or if the environment is busy.
TIME AND DATE STAMP
Sync the time and date from a Window's computer to the device. Each audio recording will then be created with the correct time and date. A time and date stamp will help you understand, for example, the precise moment somebody enters your room, creating a timeline of when certain events had taken place.
SOUND QUALITY SETTING
Adjust the audio recording quality between HQ (high-quality) and XHQ (extra high-quality). The lower (HQ) setting is set by default and draws less power consumption when recording to help maximise battery performance (per charge). For smaller room and vehicle environments, use HQ, and for larger room environments, or the highest audio setting, use XHQ.
MICROPHONE LEVEL SETTING
Adjust the microphone sensitivity level suitable for voice-activated recording to respond accordingly to the environment, for example; increase the microphone setting to heighten sensitivity in low noise areas, or decrease the microphone setting in areas where a cough, a door creaking or passing traffic would typically trigger the device to record. By adjusting the microphone level will help eliminate false trigger recordings, preserve battery performance, and save storage space.
Please note that syncing the time and date, and adjusting the sound quality and microphone settings can only be done using a Windows computer with the supplied easy-to-use software.
WINDOWS AND MAC COMPATIBLE
The Pocket USB Recorder can be recharged, and audio files accessed and played back on a Windows and Mac computer. The recorder is digital without moving parts. There are no LED's, sounds, or vibrations while recording.
EARPHONE SUPPORT FOR AUDIO PLAYBACK WHILE TRAVELLING
