GSM Listening Black Box; with Intelligent Audio Monitoring
 
This clever little GSM Black Box is fitted with a SIM card and an embedded sensitive microphone that allows you to dial the associated SIM number from a smartphone (or landline) to clearly listen to the surrounding room environment.  There are no global distance limitations from where you call, and the microphone will pick up conversations and sounds from approx. 20-25 feet around the box, providing excellent audio sound quality.
 
The audio quality is enhanced if you use a pair of Apple AirPods.  You will notice a difference when listening through Apple AirPods or other similar brands of earphones.  Conversations can be easily picked up at distances exceeding 25 feet, depending on the room ambience.
 
4G NETWORK COMPATIBLE
The Black Box supports 4G technology to futureproof your product for years.  Be cautious of poor-quality imitations - they may work in principle, but low prices often lead to shoddy workmanship and a short lifespan.

SOUND-ACTIVATED SECURITY FEATURE
This optional feature can be enabled or disabled by sending a coded SMS from a smartphone to the Black Box.  Once enabled, the microphone will monitor the room and call your smartphone when it detects sound above a standard -50 Db threshold.  The microphone monitors audio levels in a heightened state and calls your smartphone whenever noise, sound, or conversations are detected.  This feature is a smart way to know when someone has entered your room or when activity is taking place while you are away.
 
Note: A 4G SIM card is pre-fitted; however, if you purchase the optional Sound Detection feature, you must top up the associated SIM card with credit for this feature to function.  No top-up credit is supplied.
 
BATTERY-POWERED AND PORTABLE
The GSM Black Box's standby time of approximately 7 days per charge is considered adequate given the device's small footprint.  Standby time refers to when the device is switched on and ready to receive your call (not actively listening).  When calling the Black Box, this is considered 'talk time' and will reduce the overall standby time.  We recommend utilising the Black Box's battery management or opting for a mains-powered GSM product for infinite operational time.
 
To recharge the GSM Black Box, connect the supplied USB cable to the device and the other end to the USB mains plug.  You can also purchase a genuine Apple USB plug from the menu above.
 
RECORD AUDIO AS EVIDENCE
If you wish to record the audio you hear through the GSM Black Box, consider the iPhone / Smartphone Mobile Call Recorder.  This clever device uses Bluetooth to sync with any Bluetooth 3.0 compatible modern smartphone so that a conversation you hear through the Black Box's microphone can be recorded onto the Call Recorder device.
 
The Call Recorder's primary function is to record both sides of a mobile phone call.  It works equally well for the GSM Black Box and can also be body-worn as a portable digital voice recorder.
