Available for download from the Apple | Google Play Store, the smartphone app puts you in complete control of the Smoke Alarm's security camera at the touch of a button.  Enable/disable push notifications to receive 'on-screen' alerts when the camera detects movement, simultaneously recording 60 seconds of video evidence.
 
Access recorded footage through the app, backed up by an optional removable Micro SD card fitted inside the Smoke Detector.  Launch the app to watch live activity, record the room environment, take snapshots, set scheduled recording times, and replay captured video footage.
 
Note: The intelligent motion sensor will only trigger a full 60-second recording if the movement continues for 5 seconds (or longer).  Movement lasting less than 5 seconds will result in a 10-15 second recording to minimise false triggers and conserve storage space and battery life.
 
EXTENDED BATTERY PERFORMANCE
The Smoke Alarm is powered by a 4,200 mAh internal battery, which provides an impressive 30 days of operational time.  The smartphone app displays a helpful battery indicator to notify you when the camera is low on power and needs recharging.
Note: Battery performance varies depending on the number of triggered recordings, the duration of each recording, and how often you launch the app to view live.
 
Charging the Smoke Alarm is straightforward: dismount the unit from the ceiling and connect it to the mains power.  An LED indicator will signal when the battery is fully charged.  Then, remount the unit to the ceiling to resume remote surveillance.
