USB Flash Voice Recorder Time & Date Stick; with 25 Days Standby and Time Date Stamp Recording
 
Hands down, this is one of the better digital voice recorders on the market today.  This little marvel oozes quality and performance and encompasses everything you need in a professional but easy-to-use audio recording device.
To the naked eye, the USB Flash Voice Recorder can be displayed and used as a typical 8 GB Mass Storage Device for holding important documents, spreadsheets, files, photos etc; however, the subtle recording mechanism enables the sensitive microphone to capture events as a surveillance voice recorder.  
 
The in-built AGC (automatic gain control) adjusts the voice level to accommodate close-up recording and a realistic recording distance of 25 feet without audio distortion.
 
In our tests using a Mac computer with a software program called 'Boom' installed from the App Store, the speakers could pick up audio some 30 feet from where the device had been placed.
 
TIME AND DATE STAMP
A much sought-after functionality is to know precisely when each audio file was created.  This can help to resolve disputes by providing an accurate timeframe or just for your memory recap when playing audio files.
 
Note: Syncing the time and date to the USB Flash Stick can only be done using a Windows computer with the supplied easy-to-use software.
 
VOICE ACTIVATION AND MANUAL RECORDING MODES
At the flick of a switch, you can selectively choose your preferred recording mode:
 
Voice Activation Recording - place the USB flash stick within the room or vehicle environment to cover a lengthy 25-day (600 hours) standby time.  Realistically, the USB can be placed in a quiet environment for several weeks before an event you must capture.
 
Manual Recording - carry the USB flash stick as a body-worn recorder to capture audio 'on the fly' for a total start/stop recording time of 24 hours.
 
The USB Stick can withstand close visual examination, and for peace of mind, there are no LEDs, noises, sounds or moving parts during recording.
 
SOUND QUALITY SETTING
The feature allows you to adjust the audio quality between HQ (high quality) and XHQ (extra high quality).  The lower setting (HQ) will draw less power consumption when recording and is best suited to smaller rooms and confined areas like vehicles.  The higher XHQ setting is best suited to recording in larger rooms.  This feature can only be adjusted with a Windows computer's supplied software.
 
SVOS LEVEL SETTING
The feature allows you to adjust the microphone sensitivity.  For example: lowering the sensitivity reduces the microphone's capability to detect sounds like a cough, passing traffic or a door creaking.  Increasing the sensitivity heightens the microphone's capability to trigger recording.
 
COMPUTER-POWERED FOR LONG RECORDING TIMES
When connected and powered by a computer, the recording time can be substantially increased from 24 hours using its internal battery to 288 hours (until its 8 GB memory is reached).  While connected to a computer, the USB Stick is not recognised as a connected device to persons using the computer.  For example, when plugged into the rear of a desktop would not draw attention or show as being a connected device.
 
FANTASTIC AUDIO SOUND
Audio files are recorded and stored in MP3 encoding format @ 64 KBPS for enhanced and more apparent sound quality.
