Dark Box Junior HD Security Camera; with Through Window 1080P Recording
 
A brand new upgrade to the Dark Box Junior now supports video recording through glass windows.  This palm-sized CCTV surveillance camera is completely portable with an internal fully rechargeable battery which provides 30 days of motion-activated standby time or nine hours of continuous recording.
 
The Dark Box is a cross between a spy camera and security camera - ideal for placing in a room or vehicle (looking through glass) where a power supply is not available to monitor and record activities when movement is detected.  Likewise, the Dark Box is ideal for rooms and other environment deployments where a power supply is unavailable.
 
THROUGH GLASS RECORDING
Most cameras struggle to record through a pane of glass effectively; however, due to the Dark Box's Sony camera with Starlight sensor, it can effectively monitor events through a window which makes it an excellent choice for car surveillance to capture events through the windscreen, or placed on a window ledge to watch through the window onto the front or rear garden.
 
Please note the camera does not support infra-red illumination (night vision) and cannot work through the glass at night or in the dark.
 
FULL-COLOUR HD 1080P VIDEO RESOLUTION
The camera has a decent 90-degree field of view, and footage is accompanied by clear audio and a time and date stamp, which is saved to a Micro SD card (not supplied).  The SD card can be removed from the device, and video files played on a Windows or Mac computer.
 
MOTION-ACTIVATED AND CONTINUOUS RECORDING MODES
The supplied software for Windows and Mac computers allows you to fine-tune the camera settings and select between motion recording and continuous recording.  The Dark Box Junior has a single start/stop record button for ease of use and an internal fully rechargeable battery to provide 30 days of motion-activated standby time suitable for capturing relevant video only when movement is triggered.  The continuous recording has a nine-hour record time which is useful for capturing events when you need to keep the camera rolling.
 
EXTENDED STANDBY AND RECORDING TIMES
The Dark Box Junior can be connected to an external Power Bank or a mains power to significantly increase the standby and recording times.  For example, connecting a 10'000 mAh Power Bank to the Dark Box Junior will easily double the motion-activated standby time to 60 days+, or 18 hours of continuous recording time.  A higher capacity Power Bank will further increase standby and recording times up to a maximum of 156 hours (55 days).  Connecting the Dark Box Junior to a mains provides infinite power up to the same peak.
 
Note: A 256 GB SD card must be used to store the maximum 156 hours (55 days), and if loop/circular recording is enabled, the Dark Box will continue to record 24/7 by recording over the earliest footage when the card is full.
